Guiding and avalanche forecasting is and has been my work for a long time. I started my guiding career with kayaking and rafting and then specialized in mountains and climbing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am now based in \u00c5re and work mainly in Scandinavia, but also in the Alps. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE<\/h2>\n\n\n\n


2022-now IFMGA Mountain guide at Oskar Mountain Professional AB<\/strong>
Worked from 2022 as an aspiring mountain guide guiding summit tours and alpine climbing tours in Sweden, Norway and the Alps. From spring 2023 I have been worikng as a fully qualified mountain guide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2016-Now Avalanche forecast work for the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, Lavinprognoser<\/a><\/strong>
Field- and officebased avalanche forecasting work from 2017 until now. Mostly in S\u00f6dra J\u00e4mtlands avalanche forecasting area where I am the manager. Work as area manager involves carrying out field work with, among other things, snow profiles around the area as well as making daily nowcasts for avalanche conditions. The office based work involves creating an avalanche forecast based on current nowcast and weather forecasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2012-Now Avalanche instructor, \u00c5re Lavincenter<\/a><\/strong>
Teaching avalanche courses for \u00c5re Lavincenter. Most of the courses have been
SLAO and SVELAV courses but some have been held to different standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2018-2023 Consultant\/employee Swedish Climbing Association<\/a>, part-time.<\/strong>
In recent years, I have worked as a consultant for the Swedish Climbing Association as an examiner for aspiring climbing instructors as well as assistant project manager for a project that aims to develop the Swedish Climbing Association’s climbing instructor training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2013-2022 Climbing instructor, part-time.<\/strong>
Over the years, has worked part-time as an authorized climbing instructor according to the Swedish Climbing Association with courses in rock climbing and ice climbing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2009-2019 Guide, Experience Company, half-full-time summer. Upplevelsebolaget<\/a><\/strong>
During the summers, I worked for Upplevelsebolaget, which is an experience company on the Swedish west coast. There I worked with, among other things, guided kayak tours, climbing tours\/courses, mountain biking and corporate events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Part time in the ski patroll. Mostly rescue and emergency care, but also avalanche control.

EDUCATION<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

2018-2023 SBO<\/a> IFMGA<\/a> Mountain guide training<\/strong>
Training to become an international mountain guide. The training comprises 119 structured days plus a lot of hands-on practice. A successful degree leads to IFMGA status, which is the highest available in the profession and is recognized worldwide as the gold standard. The training was carried out in Norway, Sweden, France, Switzerland and Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2015-2016 Industrial Training Program Level 2, Canadian Avalanche Association<\/a><\/strong>
Advanced Avalanche training equivalent to SVELAV PRO 3 conducted in Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2015 Advanced Training course at Snow and Avalanches, SLF Davos<\/a><\/strong>
Advanced avalanche course intended for professionals in avalanche forecasting services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2012 Military avalanche specialist<\/strong>
The training begins with rehearsing the avalanche technician course and then focuses on avalanche forecasting. The final week of the course focuses on avalnche control, primarily using explosives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2007-2008 Wilderness guide<\/a> (equivalent to UIMLA<\/a> Mountain Leader), Campus \u00c5re<\/strong>
Wilderness guide, . The training includes everything required for the students to become authorized mountain guides, i.e. they may lead groups on the mountain according to the recommendations of the Swedish Consumer Agency. This includes i.a. orientation, wading, bivouac, survival, etc. The training also includes basic rock climbing, ocean and deep sea kayaking, glacier courses, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
